Called in the morning to secure my late arrival. Happily welcomed at night.
Rooms on the street are a bit noisy when the Parisians hang out at night.
Very friendly & helpful staff! Great location with lots of interesting places to eat nearby. Lively but quiet area. Close to metro & Gare Montparnasse. Will go back again if we visit Paris. Tiniest lift in the world!
We liked everything.
The hotel is so close to the Metro Vavin, and so many good restaurants that open late around.
There is a lift inside the hotel, but each time could only get one person in together with lugguage.
They charged three quarters of the bill on the credit card I used to reserve the room before I even arrived. They required payment in full in advance before I even entered the room. This is very strange behavior and has never happened to me before. My impression was that the hotel must be going bankrupt - or in danger of being closed for some reason.
I chose this hotel for its price, location, and amenities (mostly air conditioning). It did not disappoint and an unexpected bonus was the excellent staff. They were usually knowledgable about the neighborhood and always courteous and helpful. My traveling companion and I left on different days. We each needed an early morning shuttle to the airport which the staff arranged for us. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable, the air conditioning worked as advertised, and there was plenty of hot water. The neighborhood was the real deal, not touristy, and the hotel was only three blocks from Luxembourg Gardens. If you want to get your cafe au lait and crossaint from the boulangerie and take it to the park each morning to people watch while you eat, this is the hotel for you.
No complaints. Don't bother with the hotel breakfast. You can do better in the surrounding neighborhood.
Clean great location and very friendly / helpful concierge. Rooms not huge but not a problem as didn't spend much time in it!
Good location - a few steps from Vavin Metro Line 4 station. Very friendly staffs.
Free wifi only in the lobby.
Hospitality of hotel staff, location and cleanliness are the main aspects of the hotel.
The price was high for the benefits the hotel offers.
Hotel staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is surprisingly good, if you like walking in Paris - and who does not? Also, Montparnasse is not as crowded as the Left Bank area closer to the Seine, and just a few blocks' walk takes you to "real" Paris neighborhoods, which is fun. My single room was small, but comfortable; the continental breakfast was nicely served and more than adequate; the bathroom was modern and beautifully tiled. An effort has been made to make the overall decor attractive and even artistic - as befits the hotel name! With my fifth-floor view out the long balconied windows, I did feel that I was in my own Parisian studio for my weekend stay. I would be happy to return!
There were no facilities for making coffee and tea in the room.
The hotel is cosy, the personnel is very nice.
Very small rooms, small elevator, small stairs, very difficult to climb.
Very friendly staff, metro under the hotel, excellent price-quality!!!!!!!!
I like the location and the front desk staff, everyone is very helpful and friendly. Be sure to ask them for restaurant recommendations nearby. The location is great, you are right on the border between the 6th and 14th arrondissments, there are tons of restaurants nearby and several metro stops in walking distance one with access to 3 lines, gare montparnasse is also in walking distance
Rooms are small but clean, bathrooms are fairly large for Paris, not many amenities, just a good, clean, safe place to sleep.
It was very well positioned for the Metro and for my events
The room was small and dark - the window looked out on to a wall
The 2 ladies at the front desk were exceptional with area recommendations and directions.
A clean hotel in a great location for all public transport. Very helpful staff. I would also recommend the La Rotonde Restaurant and patisserie on Rue Vavin.
The best word to describe this hotel is compact!!! This includes the bedroom, bathroom, breakfast room and lift. Breakfast overpriced.
